To help stop the spread of Coronavirus, Public Health England has issued the following advice (updated 16th March 2020):
If you, your child, or someone you live with has a NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH or a HIGH TEMPERATURE (above 37.8) they should self isolate and follow the staying at home guidance which can be found on the government website. This period of self isolation should last for 14 days.
If a child presents at school with a NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH or a HIGH TEMPERATURE (37.8) they should be isolated in school and sent home as soon as possible. School will then confirm to the family that they need to self isolate for 14 days as described on the government website.
If you have chosen to isolate your child, please follow the usual absence procedures and contact school by telephone, or email the school office at email@example.com
You can check the symptoms of Coronavirus using the diagram below.
