At Rainbow we want every child to start the day with everything they need in order to learn effectively, including a healthy, filling breakfast. Breakfast club also provides the opportunity for children to socialise and to take part in activities such as table tennis and badminton, improving wellbeing and playing an important role in readying children for the day ahead.
Our breakfast club is open from 7.45am serving a wide range of breakfast options including cereal, toast, pancakes and fruit every day. Different dietary needs are catered for and all children are welcome to join.
A range of after school clubs are available for children to take part in after school each term. They can choose from several sports clubs, gymnastics, dance & drama, art and keyboard lessons. Pupils pay a small charge towards the cost of running the clubs. Clubs run from 3.30pm – 5.00pm.
Lunchtime clubs include gardening club, debate, Rainbow choir and buddies club. Our Learning Mentor also meets with small groups of children to lead games and activities. The Rainbow Choir use lunchtimes to rehearse in school but then also form part of the BD5 choir, a group made up of 6 other schools.
