Andrew Kenure – BSc (Hons), PG Cert, PGCE (SEND), PGCE (QTS)
Andrew is an extremely experienced education professional, specialising in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). He has over twenty years’ experience working in the primary, secondary and specialist education sectors and is a member of the British Psychological Society.
Within his time in education he has been a Senior Leader, a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), a Head of Faculty, a Head of Year, an Initial Teacher Trainer, and a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). This then led Andrew to the next phase in his career where he has worked as a Senior Education Consultant for the last three years.
As part of Andrew’s consultancy role, he has become a leading local expert in the support of SEND education within schools. This has included identifying areas of strength and areas of improvements for schools, driving and delivering school improvements and the nurturing and training of SENCOs.
Andrew regularly carries out inspections of primary, secondary and specialist schools in terms of their general delivery of education and specifically on their ability to meet the needs of students with additional needs. As an expert in SEND and Inclusion, he provides advice to many schools and settings around the areas of behaviour, bullying, children’s mental health, autism spectrum condition, dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. As part of his consultancy role Andrew is also a highly acclaimed educational trainer, where he has written and or delivered a vast array of courses to a range of people and organisations.
Andrew delivers an outstanding service and is an inspirational leader who will work hard to help others succeed. He is passionate about education and specifically inclusive education. He works to ensure all students are given the opportunity to achieve success.
