The Rainbow School is run by a not for profit charitable Trust. Our Trustees are a group of dedicated and experienced professionals, business people and parents who support the school through their time and expertise, their sole aim is to see Rainbow School succeed and to build on this success.

Ofsted, the national body that inspects schools, have been placing increasing emphasis on strong governance as a key element in the effectiveness of a school. The Rainbow Trustees provide both challenge and support to the CEO and the Head Teacher, taking the role of a “critical friend”.

The core functions of the Trust are:

  • ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • holding the CEO and Head Teacher to account
  • overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
