At Rainbow School we believe that it is a good thing to establish a homework habit from an early age.
Therefore, from Reception onwards, home work is given out either every day or in a pack at the end of the week.
Homework can take many forms. For example, it may reading a reading book, learning spellings, practising maths, completing a science activity, doing a practical task at home, trying to solve a problem or finding out the answer to a question.
Whatever the homework, we ask for parent’s cooperation in allowing their child/children the time and space to complete it, supporting them themselves whenever possible. And also by ensuring homework is returned on time.
We also ask that reading books, planners, reading records are looked after and always returned. School book bags are available to purchase from the office to help take care all their school things.
(A charge is made for any lost or damaged books)
