Half Term Food Fun

There will be a special children’s event during the February half term at the Good Food Advice Stall, in Oastler Market to encourage healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.
On Friday 20 February between 11.00am – 2.00pm there will be a host of food related activities for children and adults alike to take part in, from making your own smoothie on a pedal powered smoothie bike to trying the hand washing machine to see how clean your hands really are.
There will also be the opportunity watch cookery demonstrations, from Jamie’s Ministry of Food and try some tasty healthy food.
The Oral Health Team will also be at the event promoting Building Brighter Smiles programme for children and giving tips for keeping young teeth clean and healthy.
The event will be taking place in the main entrance of Bradford Oastler Market.
The event supports the districts Food Strategy which support and encourage local sourcing of food to reduce food miles; cut food waste; encourages healthy eating and increase local food production to support the districts growing population.Good Food
